Amy Winehouse

When i heard the awful and sad news report that we had lost Amy, i pulled my car into a layby and cried. I've always loved her singing style and the feel she put into her music.
Luckily for me we bumped into each other in London's West End and spent an hour or so chatting. She was one of the loveliest and beautiful women i have met. All the beauty came from within. It is a very sad day.

Hi everyone,
Thanks for all my birthday cards, messages etc..I had a great day. Thanks.
Just finishing the edit and mix of the DVD/cd of The Americana, this year.
I think it's sounding and looking o.k..
Just hope it comes across as good as on the day.
Although the only way to 'feel' it is to be there. There's no event like it.

Loads of gigs coming up. Had a great time 'keeping a bit of Mark in my heart'
With Danielz and the boys at the O2 gig. Thanks.
See you all very soon I hope.

Loadsaluv and best wishes

Americana International Festival 2011 Review

Alvin Stardust to me will always raise a smile when I think of his hair style back in his day, it could be argued that he has become a figure of fun in general, however after seeing his performance at the Americana Festival, any jokes about him are soon forgotten as he belted out cover versions (Queen) as well as his own classic tracks. There is no denying that Alvin still has a voice which is incredible to listen to. He knows exactly which buttons to press to get the audience on his side. As much as I would like to have written a few jokes about how bad he is live, the truth is he is an incredible live performer with a vocal ability which would give most of the so called 'popstars' of today a master class in how to sing.
